$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join one of our clients in the machinery industry. This position is remote, giving you the opportunity to work from anywhere in the Houston TX metropolitan and surrounding areas with travel to client's and customer's site as needed.

About the Role

Seeking a candidate to service our customers in the Houston, TX metropolitan area. Must reside in Houston or within a 50-mile radius (including cities such as The Woodlands, Sugar Land, or Pasadena).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop machinery and mechanical equipment for the client’s needs.
• Analyze, evaluate, and improve existing machinery or equipment for optimized performance.
• Create detailed drawings and blueprints that will be used for production.
• Develop and test prototypes to ensure that the machinery and equipment meet the necessary quality and safety standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and goals.
• Stay up to date with the latest technological advancements and research in the field of machinery.
• Provide timely and effective solutions to mechanical design and development problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field of study.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the mobile heavy equipment machinery industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working with cross-functional teams.
• Proficient in CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor (preferred), AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience in designing and developing mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years engineering design experience with machinery, mechanical equipment and mobile heavy equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Self-starter, Hands-on Engineer and ability to work Hybrid-Remotely

Preferred Skills

• Experience in mobile heavy equipment design.
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry systems.
• MS Office, Autodesk Inventor
