Job Responsibilities

• Lead a team to design, calculate, simulate, and analyze mechanical and electrical components and assemblies for high-speed rotating equipment using SolidWorks and other necessary software. Gear Sets, Force lubricated tilt pad bearings, rotor dynamics, aerodynamics and full function design according to master product specification.
• Validate mechanical-electrical components and assemblies for rotating equipment products by inspecting, testing, and reporting according to inspection test plans and performance test codes, utilizing industrial measurement equipment and methods.
• Sustain and support new and legacy products throughout their lifecycle by applying change management processes such as engineering change request and engineering change notice.
  
  

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering

Skills And Qualifications (Required)

• 10+ years of professional experience in rotating equipment.
• 10+ years of experience in SolidWorks or related CAD software.
• 10+ years of experience in design and/or manufacturer of geared components.
• 10+ years of experience working with machine shops, foundries, and fabricators.

• Demonstrated ability to work with a broad team of engineers, marketing, creativity for new ideas without the fear of failure
• Ability and experience in building skills and supporting the creativity of others
• Knowledge of testing methods such as NDT, PTC-10, PTC-13 and vibrations.
• Knowledge of fluid film and friction bearings, spur and helical gears and control systems.
