Job Summary

In this role, you will design, develop, and build low and medium voltage switchgear for generator paralleling applications.

Interpret customer specifications and drawings, applying industry regulations and standards such as NEC, UL 508, UL 891, UL 1558, UL MV, CSA 22-2, and ANSI.

Create bill of materials in ERP system and coordinate with purchasing and CAD teams for wiring and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

Technical Skills (Required)

• Ability to create PLC programs using IEC 61131 languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text).
• Design, test, and commission control systems with various PLC controllers, interfacing with different manufacturers.
• Develop control software on platforms such as Schneider Momentum M340/M580, AB Control, Compact Logix, Woodward MSLC, DSLC, Easy Gen, LS5, etc.
• Interpret customer specifications considering industry regulations.
• Customize PLC software and hardware templates.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of applicable NEC, UL, CSA, and ANSI standards and their application in switchgear controls.
• Understanding of protective relays and generator/utility protection.
