Job summary

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical product‑development experience with ownership of complex assemblies.
• Experience from concept to detailed design, verification, release, and production support.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and engineering change control.
• Ability to communicate tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across teams.
• Advanced SolidWorks; PLM/PDM and formal release processes.
• Proven cost-reduction, supplier collaboration, and technical leadership.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Domain‑Specific Skills

• Strong mechanical product‑development background with cost‑reduction and DFM leadership.
• Advanced SolidWorks capability for parts, assemblies, drawings, configurations, and design changes.
• Structures, sheet metal, welded assemblies, piping, fittings, plastics, tolerance analysis, and mechanical interfaces.
• Ability to combine CAD, CAE results, supplier feedback, validation planning, and cost data into design decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical work packages and allocate activities across the mechanical team.
• Develop and review redesign concepts for pack structures, roof/base skid, cell hardware, piping, fittings, scrubber vessel, and sustaining issues.
• Drive design reviews, problem resolution, supplier DFM discussions, and cross‑functional decisions.
• Ensure designs maintain critical interfaces and backward compatibility where required.
• Review CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analyses, BOMs, cost estimates, and validation plans.
• Coordinate FEA, CFD, plastics, materials, electrical, manufacturing, and sourcing inputs.

Required Skills / Experience

• 7+ years of mechanical product‑development experience, including technical ownership of complex assemblies.
• Experience in product design from concept through detailed design, verification, release, and production support.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and engineering change control.
• Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across design, manufacturing, analysis, suppliers, and customers.
• Advanced SolidWorks; experience with PLM/PDM and formal release processes.
• Demonstrated cost‑reduction, supplier collaboration, and technical‑leadership experience.

Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000/K
