• Experience with P&IDs, equipment layout, pipeline specs, material take-offs, piping isometrics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Plant 3D, and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project scope, specifications, and design criteria.
• Develop piping designs from P&IDs, GA, equipment layouts, specs, and inline instrumentation.
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and support procurement activities.
• Perform field design to verify conditions and coordinate with client personnel.
• Assist in developing construction packages including installation drawings and BOMs.
• Support site activities during construction and startup phases.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration.

Join this fast-growing design engineering firm, who will be adding 150 people in the next 18 months. The work is designing simple-cycle gas turbine plants, to support the energy demand from data centers.

The Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing and drafting moderately complex piping designs and construction packages for power generation islands, supporting behind-the-grid infrastructure for datacenter clients.

This role involves working under general supervision and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design documentation.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial or power generation environments.
• Experience with P&IDs, equipment layout, pipeline specs, material take-offs, piping isometrics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Plant 3D, as well as Microsoft products.
• Strong understanding of piping materials and specifications, pipe support and restraint systems, manual valve sizing and application.
• Ability to read and interpret vendor drawings and apply them in the design of construction-ready documents.
• Familiarity with EPC workflows and inter-discipline coordination.
