Job description

Auto-Valve is the world leader in aerospace and defense valves. Currently, with over 1,400 active valve designs, we offer numerous engineering challenges and are rapidly expanding our revenue streams.

We are seeking an experienced design engineer for a newly created position. An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of design engineering experience.

Main responsibilities include:

1. Design and development of aircraft system valves.
2. Conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and supporting new valve designs to meet customer requirements.
3. Prototype building and testing, including performance and environmental/qualification testing.
4. Supporting existing (legacy) valves, including redesign, manufacturability, and quality support.

Preferred background includes mechanical valves, fuel valves, hydraulics, aerospace and Mil-Spec products, project management, design for manufacturability, managing multiple projects, and fuel system knowledge. Experience with electro-mechanical design is a plus.

The ideal candidate aspires to advance into an Engineering Director position within 3-5 years.
