RTX is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Operations Quality Team in Andover, MA. You will lead supplier quality initiatives, drive cost of poor quality reductions, ensure product compliance, and support factory policy adherence while collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires a STEM degree with 3 years of experience, RCA, ISO9001/AS9100 knowledge, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Onsite work in Andover, MA is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 3 years related experience
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings

Job Summary

Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Operations Quality Team in Andover, MA. Our Manufacturing Supplier Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. In this role you will be responsible for working directly with Suppliers and Supplier Quality, monitoring production performance, leading yield improvements and reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), supporting factory compliance with site policies and procedures, validating proper change control and implementation, and more.

What You Will Do

• Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
• Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of nonconformances, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
• Communicate supplied part issues impacting the factory to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and three (3) years related experience
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing DoD Secret Clearance or Higher
• Experience with LEAN methodologies or CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), control plans or supplier verification
• Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Proven experience in data analytics, identifying trends and creating action plans
• Proven experience in Project Management and leading cross functional teams to resolve issues and drive improvements
• High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.)
• Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and deliver

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may apply depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
