Responsibilities
- Lead the daily production activities, providing leadership through a 6–12‑month planning cycle, contributing directly to long‑range operational strategies.
- Evaluate plant P&L and monitor variable costs to maximize profitability and drive cost control.
- Oversee the operations budget, daily labor planning, production scheduling, and material control to consistently meet customer demands.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing practices, 5S initiatives, and overall plant cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, customer specifications, and environmental regulations.
- Lead safety programs, including employee training, incident investigations, and Workers’ Compensation processes.
- Build and manage the operations leadership team, including training, onboarding, and development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of mutual respect, teamwork, accountability, and collaborative problem resolution.
- Manage direct reports’ schedules, attendance, and vacations in line with company policies.
The qualified candidate will spend 60–70% of their day on the manufacturing floor, be a good problem solver, work in fast‑paced automotive environments, thrive on driving continuous improvement, build a team and drive engagement, and execute plans and projects.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's considered.
- At least five years in a comparable operations management role.
- Automotive supplier experience.
- Experience working in metals environments (stamping, machining, fabrication).
- Strong background in continuous improvement with proven results (e.g., scrap reduction, efficiency improvements).
- Experience overseeing direct and indirect reports.
- Experience leading root cause analysis and problem solving.
- Experience overseeing at least 100 people in multi‑shift operations.
- General knowledge of P&L, including variable costs, cost of manufacturing, and labor costs.
- Experience with product launches.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred but not required
- Automation.
- Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with non‑union workforces.
