Job Summary

We seek an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in fastening torque tools and applications, and implementing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across our manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team, you will collaborate with various departments to develop systems, best practices, and standards to achieve our business goals focused on torque and TPM.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Define standards for installing, configuring, and setting up torque tools in assembly environments.
  2. Partner with support teams and facilities to optimize torque systems for efficiency and durability.
  3. Support manufacturing facilities in problem resolution and systemic solution implementation.
  4. Collaborate with suppliers to develop torque solutions meeting Polaris needs.
  5. Develop and implement global maintenance strategies for equipment performance and reliability.
  6. Promote TPM and continuous improvement with local maintenance teams.
  7. Support processes aligned with manufacturing IT solutions for efficiency and standardization.
  8. Prepare technical reports and presentations for global stakeholders.
  9. Research new manufacturing processes and technologies, coordinating procurement and implementation.

Skills & Knowledge

  1. B.S. in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  2. 5+ years in assembly manufacturing.
  3. Experience with torque tools, programming DC torque applications, and torque testing equipment.
  4. Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  5. Proficiency in MS Office; excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

  1. Standard manufacturing environment.
  2. Up to 25% travel may be required.

Compensation

The pay range for Minnesota is $105,000 to $130,000 annually, based on various factors including experience and education.
