Job summary

Acloché in Milwaukee seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to develop, implement, and improve factory processes for new and existing products. You will bridge design engineering and the production floor, maintaining capability, quality, safety, and throughput while driving cost reductions.

This role expects a BS in engineering with 5–12 years in large assembly, CAD skills (Pro‑E/Creo), and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering required; Master's a plus.
• 5–12 years in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation.
• CAD skills with CAD/Creo (Pro‑E)
• Lean/Six Sigma knowledge and experience in transitioning concepts to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup of assembly line; establish processes and documentation.
• Bring mobile equipment products from design hand-off to production.
• Plan and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor; optimize line balance and efficiency.
• Develop Operation Method Standards for best assembly practices.
• Lead cost reduction, safety and ISO compliance initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production line issues and drive continuous improvement.

As the link between design engineering and the production floor you provide the manufacturing expertise needed to implement the production of new products as well as processing changes to existing products. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

What you will be doing:

• Take the lead on setup assembly line, establish processes and documentation
• Bring mobile equipment products from design hand-off to completion
• Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to the manufacturing floor. Manages the integration of new products into existing lines with an understanding of new processes that affect online balance, pFMEA, and line efficiency.
• Lead the development of Operation Method Standards (i.e. how best to assemble products)
• Uses advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts needed for reduction of waste within manufacturing processes
• Troubleshoot production line problems
• Lead initiatives that mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs
• Lead design initiatives within the manufacturing process, including line / cell layout, tooling and part flow
• Capital equipment justification
• Work to advance safety and ergonomic practices

What they are looking for

• BS Engineering, a Master's would be great
• 5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation
• Proficient computer skills including CAD (Pro‑E / Creo would be great), Word, Excel, and Access
• Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma
• Ideally, prior experience establishing in assembly line from concept into production
