Job summary

Quantic Electronics in Culver City, CA seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Process Engineer to ensure efficient, high‑quality OhmegaPly® RCMS and laminate processes.

You will design, implement and optimize procedures and equipment for operations, reporting to the Plant Manager. The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, and hands‑on experience with IPC standards, MIL testing, CAM350/ECAD tools and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience using IPC Quality Standards.
  • Experience performing MIL Testing Standards.
  • Familiarity with CAM350 or similar MCAD/ECAD tools.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D Modeling).

Responsibilities

  • Continuously improve existing manufacturing systems and equipment to enhance operational efficiency and reduce overall costs.
  • Collect and analyze production data using statistical methods to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that increase productivity.
  • Conduct product and material testing for internal teams and external customers, coordinating with external testing services when necessary.
  • Provide quality assurance guidance throughout manufacturing and testing stages to ensure compliance with established procedures, standards, and techniques.
  • Support the Quality department in developing 8D reports and conducting Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations in response to customer complaints.
  • Create and maintain essential documentation, including production records, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and testing reports for products and materials.
  • Lead improvement initiatives involving manufacturing equipment (hardware and/or software) to increase reliability and performance.
  • Evaluate and implement safety‑focused processes and procedures to minimize operational risks and enhance workplace safety for production staff and facilities.
  • Provide technical expertise and support related to OhmegaPly, including the processing of customer parts through the Ohmega Etch Process.

Position Summary

The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of the OhmegaPly® RCM and OhmegaPly® Laminate processes. Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing procedures and equipment for operative processes.
