Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Colorado Springs is seeking a Manufacturing Lean & Process Improvement specialist to lead continuous improvement initiatives across quality, cost, and delivery. You will drive Kaizen and Six Sigma activities, analyze processes, and partner with production teams to implement sustainable changes.

The role requires ISO 9001 experience, strong project management, and the ability to interpret GD&T while building ROI justifications for capital investments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Lean, Kaizen, PDCA and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and GD&T with DOE and DFM knowledge.
  • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and ISO 9001 documentation control.
  • Proven ROI analysis, capital equipment evaluation, and project leadership.
  • Strong communication and multi-project management skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, and Six Sigma projects to improve quality, cost and delivery.
  • Identify inefficiencies, drive corrective actions and monitor KPIs.
  • Support manufacturing operations and improve process capability.

Responsibilities
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Lead and facilitate Lean, Kaizen, PDCA, and Six Sigma projects focused on quality, cost, delivery, and productivity improvements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve operational performance.
  • Drive waste reduction initiatives in manufacturing workflows and value streams.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness and improvement outcomes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional continuous improvement events and workshops.
Manufacturing Process Support
  • Support sustaining manufacturing operations by resolving production‑related issues and improving process capability.
  • Analyze manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and workflow efficiencies to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with production teams to implement process changes while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Evaluate capital equipment requirements and develop business cases including Return on Investment (ROI) analysis.
Quality & Problem Solving
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations using structured problem‑solving methodologies.
  • Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications, including application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Ensure process documentation complies with ISO 9001 quality management requirements.
  • Participate in process audits and continuous improvement assessments.
Project Management
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects with cross‑functional teams.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, risk assessments, and implementation strategies.
  • Track project progress and communicate status to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support new product introduction and manufacturing transfer activities as required.
Documentation & Training
  • Create, revise, and maintain engineering documentation, work instructions, procedures, and process controls.
  • Develop training materials and provide guidance to manufacturing personnel on process improvements and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Experience creating, reviewing, and controlling documents in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Experience evaluating capital equipment investments and performing ROI analysis.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen (PDCA), and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and problem‑solving tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience within a precision manufacturing, aerospace, semiconductor, electronics, or high‑tech manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading value stream mapping and process optimization initiatives.
  • Strong statistical analysis and process capability experience.
Experience With Any/all The Following Is Highly Desired
  • Solid Modeling Software (Solidworks, Creo, Autocad, or ANSYS)
  • CNC machining experience (G‑code and Tooling Design)
  • Advanced Metrology Experience (Optical CMM, Surface Profilometer)

Colorado Springs, CO Pay Range: MIN $93,000.00 - MAX $155,000.00
