Job summary

TSR is seeking a Sr. Manager, Technical SEO, Streaming to lead technical SEO for ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV, spanning domestic and international web properties.

The role collaborates with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics and Legal to embed SEO and AI Discovery into product roadmaps and releases. The ideal candidate has 5–8+ years in technical SEO, with deep knowledge of crawlability, rendering, indexing, and JavaScript SEO, and experience guiding SEO in agile teams.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of SEO experience with a strong focus on technical SEO, ideally on large-scale or multi-region sites.
• Deep understanding of crawlability, rendering, indexing, JavaScript SEO, canonicalization, redirects, metadata, internal linking, structured data, XML sitemaps, pagination, site performance, and site architecture.
• Hands-on experience guiding technical SEO in agile environments with Product, Engineering, and QA teams.
• Proficiency with Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and similar SEO platforms; ability to analyze crawl data, server logs, bot user agents, and indexation signals.
• Ability to write clear product requirements, technical specifications, Jira tickets, Confluence documentation, QA plans, and implementation guidance.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated follow-through on technical implementation.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP for large datasets.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical SEO and AI Discovery concepts into actionable business impact.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical SEO for ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV across domestic and international web properties.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate SEO and AI Discovery requirements into roadmaps, feature development, platform migrations, releases, and broader web engineering initiatives.
• Translate SEO requirements into documentation and implementation artifacts including product requirements, Jira tickets, Confluence pages, technical specifications, QA checklists, and guidance.
• Serve as the technical SEO point of contact for Product, frontend engineering, and backend engineering on crawlability, rendering, and indexing.
• Own weekly crawl monitoring, technical SEO auditing, and issue triage using Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, analytics platforms, server logs, and crawl data.
• Monitor releases, platform changes, and production updates to identify SEO risks, support release QA, validate requirements, and coordinate fixes before and after launch.
• Analyze crawl, log, and performance data to identify technical issues, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Support international SEO including hreflang, localization, regional site architecture, and scalable multi-market implementation.
• Provide guidance on JavaScript SEO, including rendering behavior, client-side vs. server-side considerations, hydration, and modern JS frameworks.
• Ensure key pages are accessible and optimized for search engines, LLM crawlers, AI search bots, AI agents, and other critical fetcher systems.
• Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Security to maintain crawler and SERP listing governance best practices.
• Stay current on SEO, web technology, AI search, LLM crawling, agentic browsing, and generative answer engines, and translate developments into recommendations.

Job Description

The Marketing Acquisition & Campaign Services (MACS) organization is a performance-driven digital marketing team that provides in-house strategy, activation, operations, and analytics support across Paramount Skydance. The Search & AI Discovery (SAID) team oversees technical SEO and emerging AI discovery capabilities for Paramount's streaming portfolio. We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Technical SEO, Streaming to lead technical SEO across ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV, spanning domestic and international web properties, while consulting with partners across Paramount Skydance. The role reports to the Sr. Director, SEO & AI Discovery and works closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, Legal, Privacy, and Security to integrate SEO and AI Discovery requirements into product roadmaps, engineering workflows, release processes, and site operations. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, technically fluent, and able to translate complex SEO requirements into clear documentation, engineering tickets, QA processes, and scalable best practices.
