The Marketing Acquisition & Campaign Services (MACS) team is a performance-driven digital marketing team that provides in-house strategy, activation, operations, and analytics support to brands across Paramount Skydance. This includes overseeing the implementation of technology and capabilities across the company’s streaming portfolio.
As a Sr. Manager, Technical SEO, you will be reporting directly to the Sr. Director, SEO & AI Discovery, Streaming. This role will oversee technical SEO across ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV, including domestic and international web properties, while also consulting with ad hoc partners across Paramount Skydance. This role will work closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to ensure SEO requirements are integrated into product roadmaps, engineering workflows, release processes, and site operations.

About:
The Streaming SEO & AI Discovery (SAID) team serves as both an internal agency and an in-house practitioner. We support multiple sites and work closely with them to drive SEO initiatives. This role will help evolve the Streaming SEO program’s AI Discovery practice by ensuring Paramount+ and Pluto TV content is technically accessible, accurately represented, and measurable across emerging AI-powered search, answer engine, and agentic discovery experiences.
We’re looking for a highly technical SEO who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate across multiple teams. A strong understanding of technical SEO, product development workflows, web engineering concepts, and enterprise-scale site management is essential for this role, as you’ll be working closely with product managers, frontend engineers, backend engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders. You should enjoy solving complex technical SEO challenges, writing clear requirements, managing implementation details, and helping teams build SEO best practices into their day-to-day workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical SEO for ParamountPlus.com and Pluto.TV across domestic and international web properties
- Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate SEO and AI Discovery requirements into roadmaps, feature development, platform migrations, releases, and broader web engineering initiatives
- Translate SEO requirements into clear documentation, including requirement documents, Jira tickets, Confluence pages, technical specifications, QA checklists, and implementation guidance
- Serve as a technical SEO point of contact for Product, frontend engineering, and backend engineering teams on crawlability, rendering, and indexing.
- Own weekly crawl monitoring, technical SEO auditing, and issue triage across key properties using Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, analytics platforms, server logs, and crawl data
- Monitor site releases, platform changes, and production updates to identify SEO risks, support release QA, validate requirements, and coordinate fixes before and after launch
- Analyze data to identify technical issues, performance risks, and growth opportunities
- Support international SEO initiatives, including hreflang, localization considerations, regional site architecture, and scalable multi-market implementation
- Ensure key pages are accessible and optimized for search engines, LLM crawlers, AI search bots, AI agents, and other critical fetcher systems.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Security teams to maintain crawler & SERP listing governance best practices.
- Stay current on SEO, web technology, AI search, LLM crawler, agentic browsing, and generative answer engine developments, translating changes into practical recommendations
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience managing technical SEO for large-scale websites, preferably across multi-market, international, or global environments
- Experience working directly with Product and Engineering teams in agile development environments, including frontend and backend implementation workflows
- Ability to write clear product requirements, technical SEO specifications, Jira tickets, Confluence documentation, QA plans, and implementation guidance
- Strong understanding of international SEO, including hreflang, regional URL structures, localization, and global site management
- Experience with enterprise SEO tools such as Botify, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms
- Experience analyzing crawl data, server logs, bot user agents, search performance data, indexation signals, and technical SEO outputs to identify issues and prioritize recommendations
- Familiarity with how AI Discovery builds on technical SEO principles, including crawlability, indexability, content accessibility, structured data, rendering, snippet eligibility, and crawler access
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, including data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, vlookup, and working with large datasets
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical SEO and AI Discovery concepts clearly to business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers
- Experience supporting release QA, site audits, regression testing, monitoring workflows, and technical issue escalation
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and technical workstreams simultaneously
- Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress is preferred
- Experience with Python, APIs, and automation workflows is a plus
Qualifications:
- 5–8+ years’ experience in SEO, with a strong focus on technical SEO
- Experience working on large-scale websites, enterprise platforms, or multi-region global sites is preferred
- Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, QA teams
- Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in managing technical SEO workflows, documentation, audits, monitoring, and implementation follow-through
- A strong communicator who can clearly translate technical SEO concepts into actionable requirements and business impact
- Ability to balance strategic SEO priorities with tactical execution across complex web environments
- Passion and curiosity for technical SEO, web technology, AI discovery, and the evolving search landscape
Hourly Rate:
$75–$95/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
