COHERENT in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end programs from initiation through delivery. You will manage R&D, NPI and manufacturing activities to meet customer specs and schedules, while collaborating with stakeholders to define scope, goals and success metrics.

The role requires an advanced degree in an opto-electronic field and 15+ years in technical or product-line management. Fluency in English is essential; Mandarin a plus.

  • 15+ years in technical program management or product line management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of technical programs from initiation to delivery.
  • Manage R&D, NPI and manufacture activities to meet customer specs and delivery times.
  • Define program scope, goals, success metrics and deliverables with stakeholders.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resources and risk mitigation.
  • Monitor progress, identify and resolve issues, ensure accountability across teams.
  • Maintain cost models and drive cost improvements.
  • Interface with customers and leads engagements, including presentations and issue resolution.
  • Communicate program status, risks and milestones to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools and execution efficiency.

Education & Experience
  • Advanceddegreeinopticalengineering,electricalengineering,physics,orother opto-electronic discipline.

  • 15+ years in technical program management or product line management

Physical Requirements
  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.

  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
