Magnifica Air is building a new training function from the ground up to shape how technical skills are developed and maintained for airline maintenance personnel.

You will own the training strategy, influence safety and long-term capability, and work with a leadership team that values your input and development.

As the role progresses, you will oversee development, delivery, and administration of programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety excellence across operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent aviation experience).
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • Minimum of 10 years in Part 121/135 airline maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a training or leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation maintenance practices, regulations, and training standards.
  • Airbus A220/A320 Family experience.
  • Startup airline experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development, delivery, and administration of training programs for airline maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Report directly to the DOM and drive continuous improvement in training effectiveness.
  • Instruct and deliver maintenance training material to personnel while maintaining objectivity.
  • Manage maintenance training, qualifications, and recency processes, including policies and dissemination of information.
  • Develop and produce maintenance training material and act as LMS system administrator.
  • Create advanced training material to improve productivity, safety, and performance.
  • Promote positive attitudes toward compliance and safety.

Job description

You’ll lead the development of a new training function from the ground up, shaping how technical skills are built and maintained across our airline.

With full ownership of the training strategy, you’ll influence safety, performance, and long-term capability in a way few get to do.

What you’ll do

You'll oversee the development, delivery, and administration of training programs for airline maintenance personnel. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, maintains the highest standards of safety and quality, and drives continuous improvement in training effectiveness to support the airline's operational goals. You’ll report directly to the DOM.

Specifically, you’ll:

  • Act as an instructor and deliver maintenance training material to maintenance personnel.
  • Make sure objectivity is maintained in the training program, and that instructors are permitted to perform assigned activities without inappropriate interference from management and/or external organizations.
  • Be responsible for and have authority over the maintenance training, qualifications, and recency of experience process, including process quality, establishing and modifying policies, procedures, instructions, and disseminating information regarding its administration.
  • Make sure all course materials, training facilities, and training devices are appropriate for the course. Direct and coordinate maintenance training activities.
  • Develop and produce maintenance training material.
  • Act as the Technical Operations LMS system Administrator.
  • Develop new/advanced training material to allow maintenance personnel to more productively, safely and effectively perform their responsibilities within the Company and the FAA regulatory system.
  • Take an active role in promoting positive attitudes toward compliance and safety.
What you’ll need
