Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting in North Central Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & M&A Integration for a hybrid role (3/2). The position offers a salary range of $140K–$160K plus bonus and will help lead acquisitions, integration, and technical accounting across the corporate accounting team.

You will partner with newly acquired businesses to establish accounting policies, address SOX controls, support SEC reporting, and drive continuous process improvements

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting or advisory experience.
  • M&A / acquisition integration experience required.
  • Strong U.S. GAAP expertise with public company exposure (SOX).
  • Experience with SEC reporting (10-Q/10-K) preferred.
  • CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting and integration activities for acquisitions, including due diligence and post-close integration.
  • Partner with acquired businesses to align accounting practices and implement policies and controls.
  • Collaborate across Finance, Legal, IT, and Operations during integrations.
  • Research complex technical accounting issues under U.S. GAAP.
  • Support SEC reporting and financial disclosures.
  • Assist month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
  • Drive process improvements as the company scales.

Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & M&A Integration

$140K–$160K+ plus bonus

North Central MA – Hybrid (3/2)

A publicly traded company that is expanding through an active acquisition strategy and looking to add a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Integration to its corporate accounting team.

This is a newly created, highly visible role combining M&A, acquisition integration, technical accounting, SOX, and SEC reporting. The position will serve as a key finance and accounting point person at newly acquired businesses, helping integrate them into the company's accounting, reporting, systems, and control environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead accounting and finance integration activities for acquisitions, including due diligence, purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, controls, systems, and post-close integration
  • Partner directly with newly acquired businesses to evaluate accounting practices, identify gaps, and implement corporate accounting policies and SOX controls
  • Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations, and business leadership throughout the acquisition and integration process
  • Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP
  • Support SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K filings and financial statement disclosures
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting and reporting activities
  • Support impairment analyses, consolidations, and other complex accounting matters
  • Drive process and systems improvements as the organization continues to scale
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting, transaction advisory, accounting advisory, or related experience
  • M&A / acquisition integration experience required
  • Strong technical accounting and U.S. GAAP foundation
  • Public company experience, including SOX and 10-Q/10-K exposure
  • Ability to take ownership and lead integration efforts at newly acquired businesses
  • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
  • CPA preferred
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required with strong M&A experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately primarily surrounding acquisitions
