Department Overview
SUMMARY/SCOPE OF POSITION:
The Sr. Manager of Supplier Quality and Tooling will report to the Group Director of Quality within the Supply Chain and will support the Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and Video Access and Security businesses.

Job Description
This individual acts as a change agent, partnering with internal executive stakeholders and suppliers to develop and execute best practices across the supply base. Responsibilities include assessing supplier risk profiles, building on global quality standards, providing training, and managing projects. The Senior Manager will also lead, inspire, and guide the supplier quality and tooling teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure supplier quality meets expectations
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the supplier quality organization
  • Qualify processes and quality systems during new part development or supplier changes
  • Champion early supplier engagement and capacity improvements
  • Participate in supplier selection, providing recommendations for approved suppliers
  • Conduct process audits at suppliers to validate quality systems
  • Implement APQP and PPAP processes with suppliers
  • Develop and analyze supplier quality data, including FMEA, RCCA, and KPI reviews
  • Develop material and process robustness plans
  • Manage supplier tooling KPI development and implementation
  • Collaborate on tooling development, qualification, and transfer activities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the supplier quality and tooling teams

Preferred Skills:

  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and KPIs
  • Excellent problem-solving skills (including 8D)
  • Experience with PPAP, APQP, DOE, FMEA, SPC, Gage R&R
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

Salary Range: $120,300 - $240,600. Actual offers depend on experience and skills.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, quality, or related engineering
  • 7+ years leading a global team

Travel Requirements: 10-25%
