As a leader and contributor with vision, you will provide technology expertise, solutions, and help improve by recruiting and hiring top engineering talent. You will work with product owners to articulate the benefits of proposed solutions, influence the technical roadmap, and help prioritize work. This position requires a passion for technology strategy and adoption, including digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source software.

Responsibilities

1. Guide software engineering teams responsible for designing and delivering high-quality software for critical business features, built on native cloud tech to the latest standards.
2. Collaborate with Architecture, Data, Product, and Enterprise teams to drive product and platform development.
3. Define patterns and deliver technology enabling configuration-based deployments using standard pipelines for consumer experiences within Anywhere.
4. Establish best practices for logging and monitoring production systems to meet business expectations.
5. Work with product owners to communicate benefits, influence the technical roadmap, and prioritize work.
6. Research, implement, and promote standard processes; share knowledge across teams.
7. Drive towards simplicity and adoption of digital technologies, cloud hosting, and open-source solutions.
8. Assist in designing new applications and estimating effort levels.
9. Provide technical leadership and contribute to talent development through recruiting top engineers.
10. Address issues impacting design, sales, or future products and technologies.
11. Handle complex issues across business and functional areas.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in software engineering, development, design, DevOps, and solution/data architecture with hands-on expertise.
• At least 4+ years managing and developing engineering teams.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 8+ years working with MEAN Stack: Angular, NodeJS, Express, MongoDB Atlas.
• 8+ years developing microservices and RESTful APIs with Node.js.
• 4+ years in DevOps, developing deployment pipelines.
• Strong belief in thorough testing, resiliency, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration.
• Extensive knowledge of solution patterns and frameworks.
• Effective communication with product, business, and management teams.
• Proven project management, financial, and vendor management skills.
• Understanding of organizational goals and Agile methodologies.
• Values truth-seeking and evidence-based decision-making.
