Job summary

RF-SMART is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development to lead a growing team building cloud-based supply chain solutions in Jacksonville, FL. You will drive technical excellence, own the technology backlog, and operate a modern AWS SaaS platform.

You will shape architecture, manage QA, mentor engineers, and partner with Product to deliver on ambitious timelines in a hybrid onsite/remote work model. The role demands strong leadership and hands-on technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on software development in a SaaS environment.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams in Agile/Scrum.
• Deep AWS experience—operationalizing and scaling production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong C#/.NET Core proficiency; React or similar JS framework experience.
• CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture fluency.
• BS in CS/Engineering or equivalent progressive technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a growing engineering and QA team with growth plans and personalized development.
• Influence AWS cloud architecture, backlog, and release plans to drive technical excellence.

As a Sr. Manager of Software Development at RF-SMART you will leadlead a growing team building cloud-based supply chain solutions.You’lldrive technical excellence, manage QA accountability, own the technology backlog, and operationalize a modern AWS SaaS platform—while developing the people around you. What You’ll Do:

People Leadership (~50%)

• Hire, develop, andretainengineering and QA talent; build personalized growth plans.

• Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and own compensation and promotion decisions.

• Drive engagement through transparent communication, recognition, and a culture of belonging.

Technical Leadership (~30%)

• InfluenceAWS cloud architecture and key technical decisions.

• Manage QA accountability—ensure testing standards, coverage, and quality gates are consistently met.

• Drive the technology backlog, balancing new features, technical debt, and operational priorities.

• Champion CI/CD, DevOps, and SaaS operational excellence.

Delivery & Collaboration (~20%)

• Partner with Product to prioritize, scope, and commit to delivery timelines.

• Lead sprint planning, manage capacity, and remove obstacles for the team.

• Communicate progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders and leadership.

What You Bring:

Required

• 7+ years hands-on software development in a SaaS environment.

• 5+ years managing engineering teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Deep AWS experience—operationalizing and scaling production cloud infrastructure.

• Strong C#/.NET Coreproficiency; React or similar JS framework experience.

• CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architecture fluency.

• Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts; comfortable with difficult conversations.

• BS in CS/Engineering or equivalent progressive technical experience.

Preferred

• Supply chain,logistics, inventory management, or ERP software background.

• B2B SaaS multi-tenant architecture; scaling platforms through rapid growth.

• Containerization (Docker/ECS),IaC(Terraform), and observability tooling experience.
