Job Overview

GAL Manufacturing is seeking a seasoned Sr. Manager, Quality – Manufacturing to join our team at Vantage Elevation in Bronx, New York. This role involves planning, directing, and maintaining a quality culture within the organization.

Vantage Elevation, LLC, established in 1927, is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems, employing over 900 staff across the US, Canada, and the UK. GAL Manufacturing is one of its key units.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SOPs and quality management systems.
• Reduce costs via continuous process improvement programs.
• Analyze manufacturing and quality system capabilities.
• Drive improvement projects and create QC plans for new products.
• Facilitate quality needs including QC strategies, product release, policies, and SOPs.
• Lead and oversee QMS audits, customer audits, and supply chain quality evaluations.
• Mentor and manage the QA/QC team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial or leadership experience in quality roles.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008, QMS, manufacturing QC.
• Understanding of metal fabrication, machining, assembly, circuit board manufacturing, and supply chain management.
• Familiarity with quality metrics, KPIs, and CPI programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
