Job summary

FDH Aero is seeking a Sr. Manager, Quality to lead the Quality Management System for our facility. You will supervise the quality team and manage relationships with suppliers and customers in the aerospace sector.

You must bring a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in QA leadership, and deep AS9100/ISO9001 knowledge. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years Quality Assurance Leadership experience.
  • Efficient computer skills and Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience creating high performance teams.
  • IPC-620 requirements knowledge.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Champion the development and deployment of quality projects.
  • Act as the Management Representative to oversee the QMS health.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, communication and critical thinking in QA leadership.
  • Oversee internal and external audits and root-cause analysis.
  • Develop the QMS for continuous improvement.
  • Document procedures for process control and inspection.
  • Oversee IPC-620 and IPC-JST-001 training programs.
  • Communicate with customer and supplier quality representatives.
  • Establish metrics for monitoring system effectiveness.
  • Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform surveillance, source inspections and first article inspections.
  • Maintain supplier development and supplier quality program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

We Are Looking For

The Sr. Manager, Quality, will be responsible for the Quality Management System for the facility. This role will supervise the quality team and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers. This position requires a positive, high energy, meticulous, knowledge and experience working with aerospace quality systems.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Maintain compliance to AS9100 and ISO 9001 Standards
  • Champion the development and deployment of all the quality projects within the company
  • Act as the Management Representative which oversee the QMS health
  • Exhibit strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skills while leading the Quality Assurance department toward company goals and objectives
  • Oversees internal and external audits and root-cause analysis based on the AS Standard
  • Further develop the Quality Management System, implement, manage, and integrate for continuous improvement
  • Design, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, and inspection
  • Oversee the company IPC-620 and IPC-JST-001 training programs
  • Communicate with customer and supplier quality representatives on quality issues
  • Establish and implement metrics for monitoring system effectiveness, quality performance (Leading and lagging indicators)
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements and procedures
  • Perform surveillance, support source inspections, and first article inspections and monitor the inspection system performance throughout the organization
  • Maintain supplier development efforts, and establish a strong supplier quality program
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Leadership
  • Efficient computer skills and Microsoft Office 360 Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • In-depth understanding and knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience creating high performance teams
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Understand requirements of IPC-620 (Wire Harness Manufacturing)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Special Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR requirement
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
