The ideal candidate will be based in the New York or Tri-State area, have strong relationships with US media, and have experience working with or within PR agencies. This role also requires some travel to our Toronto office approximately six times per year.

About You:

  • You are a community builder and networker, bringing people together and fostering brand connections.
  • You can see the big picture while managing details to ensure success.
  • You use analytical skills to solve problems and find the best outcomes.
  • You are agile and can work independently while collaborating with a larger cross-functional team.
The Opportunity:
  • Develop and execute a strategic public relations program that elevates Knix's brand profile, with a strong focus on driving earned media and storytelling in the U.S.
  • Build and cultivate meaningful relationships across media, culture, and industry to keep Knix top of mind as a preferred brand and partner.
  • Lead day-to-day management of the PR agency, ensuring clear briefs, priorities, reporting, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with the Brand team to identify culturally relevant opportunities, maximize earned media potential, and develop integrated communications plans.
  • Align PR initiatives with the broader marketing strategy, establishing clear KPIs and measuring impact across awareness, brand equity, and business objectives.
  • Develop scalable processes for media outreach, relationship management, press planning, and campaign execution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and cultivate strategic partnership opportunities that strengthen brand relevance and generate earned media.
  • Create compelling project briefs, messaging frameworks, and executive-ready presentations to support cross-functional alignment and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional marketing teams to ensure proactive communications planning around key business priorities and brand moments.
  • Forecast, measure, and report on PR and partnership performance, including earned media, co-branded initiatives, events, and other strategic collaborations.
  • Partner with Regional Field Marketing to identify and amplify local market opportunities that support brand awareness and community engagement.
  • Oversee all PR operations, including agency management, media materials, press timelines, event communications, reporting, and ongoing optimization.
Qualifications:
