About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Property & Casualty Business Process Services (BPS) leader to take operational leadership of a large, global insurance BPS portfolio serving Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carriers. This is a hands-on business and operations leadership role. The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience running outsourced P&C insurance operations from the service-provider/BPO side, leading large onshore and offshore organizations, managing complex client relationships, and delivering measurable operational and financial results. The role will be responsible for helping mature and grow an established P&C BPS business, moving beyond operational stabilization toward stronger delivery performance, innovation, client expansion, and profitable growth.

What You'll Own

P&C BPS Operations Leadership

Lead a large-scale outsourced P&C BPS operation supporting insurance carrier clients. Own operational performance across delivery, quality, productivity, workforce planning, service levels, and continuous improvement. Lead geographically distributed teams across onshore and offshore delivery locations. Establish operating rhythms, performance metrics, governance structures, and accountability across the organization. Develop and coach Delivery and Account Leaders to operate effectively with senior client stakeholders. Ensure appropriate organizational capacity, leadership capability, succession planning, and talent development.

Client & Executive Leadership

Serve as a senior operational leader and trusted advisor to US P&C insurance carrier clients. Build and maintain executive-level relationships with carrier stakeholders. Lead client governance, business reviews, operational discussions, escalations, and transformation conversations. Translate operational performance and client needs into actionable improvement and growth opportunities. Represent the organization credibly with senior insurance executives.

Business & Financial Leadership

Manage significant operational budgets and financial performance. Partner with commercial and sales teams on account growth, renewals, expansion, cross-sell, and new business opportunities. Identify opportunities to expand existing P&C BPS relationships through additional services, process transformation, automation, and technology. Participate in solution development, proposals, RFP/RFI responses, commercial modeling, and client negotiations. Demonstrate a track record of growing or expanding outsourced services relationships.

Transformation, Automation & AI

Lead operational transformation across P&C insurance processes. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, cycle time, cost, and client experience through process redesign and automation. Champion practical adoption of AI and intelligent automation within insurance operations. Identify operational use cases for AI, workflow automation, analytics, and digital solutions. Partner with technology and solution teams to translate operational opportunities into measurable business outcomes.

Insurance Operations Experience should include meaningful exposure to one or more major P&C insurance processes, such as:

• Claims operations
• Policy administration
• Billing operations
• Underwriting support
• Policy servicing
• Back-office transaction processing
• Insurance data and document operations

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in insurance operations, BPS/BPO, managed services, or related outsourced service environments.
• Significant Property & Casualty insurance experience.
• Demonstrated experience running outsourced P&C operations from the service-provider/BPO side.
• Experience managing large, geographically distributed organizations, including both onshore and offshore delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership of organizations of significant scale, ideally 300+ employees across multiple locations or business units.
• Experience with meaningful operational financial responsibility, including budgets, revenue, margins, P&L, or commercial performance.
• Direct experience managing relationships with US-based P&C insurance carrier clients.
• Demonstrated ability to operate at the executive level with insurance carrier stakeholders.
• Proven experience managing operational KPIs, quality, productivity, workforce planning, and service delivery.
• Experience leading major operational transformation or continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated commercial orientation, including account growth, expansion, solution development, or pursuit support.
• Experience with automation, digital operations, analytics, or AI-enabled process improvement.
• Strong executive communication, relationship management, and people leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a P&C BPS portfolio approaching or exceeding $50M in annual revenue.
• Experience leading organizations of 500+ employees.
• Experience across multiple P&C processes, particularly claims, policy, billing, or underwriting.
• Experience transitioning, migrating, or transforming large outsourced insurance operations.
• Experience with AI-enabled insurance operations and intelligent automation.
• Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or similar process-improvement certification.
• Experience with insurance technology platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, Sapiens, or related platforms.
• Experience supporting large-scale sales pursuits, solutioning, and commercial negotiations.
• Experience managing multinational delivery organizations.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is not primarily a consultant or transformation advisor. They are an experienced P&C BPS/BPO operator who has personally run a large outsourced insurance operation and understands what it takes to manage people, clients, financial performance, delivery, and growth simultaneously. They can demonstrate: P&C insurance + BPS/BPO service-provider experience + large-scale operations + US carrier relationships + commercial accountability + transformation/AI. Candidates whose experience is primarily within an insurance carrier, consulting environment, technology implementation role, or generic call-center operation will generally not meet the core requirements unless they also have substantial outsourced P&C BPS leadership experience.
