  • Use hand and power tools to build control panels, switchboards, and associated wiring.
  • Follow strict quality standards, safety protocols, and lean manufacturing practices (5s).
  • Perform basic to advanced electrical testing (depending on level), including use of multimeters, HIPOT testers, and power supplies.
  • Interpret and complete build documentation, job travelers, and in‑process checklists.
  • Use ERP systems (e.g., JobBOSS) and mobile applications for tracking work and logging data.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, collaborating with engineering and leadership on product and process enhancement.
  • Uphold Kratos’ code orange culture of excellence, urgency, and accountability.
Responsibilities – Tech I / Entry ($20–$23/HR)
  • Basic assembly of electrical parts and wiring harnesses under supervision.
  • Read and follow simple assembly drawings and wiring diagrams, work orders, and assembly instructions.
  • Strip and crimp wires, mount components, and plug connectors safely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area (5s), wear required PPE, and follow all safety rules.
  • Log completed steps on paper or digital travelers.
Ideal Background (Tech I)
  • 6 months to 1 + year of relevant hands‑on experience (mechanical or electrical assembly, general manufacturing).
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities – Tech II / Intermediate ($24–$27/HR)

  • Independent assembly of medium‑complexity electro‑mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Perform light troubleshooting and basic electrical rework.
  • Conduct in‑process inspections for part orientation, correct wiring, and torque specifications.
  • Adhere to UL manufacturing standards and support testing/QA functions.
Ideal Background (Tech II)
  • 2 + years of electrical assembly and wiring experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities – Tech III / Advanced ($28–$34/HR)

  • Expert‑level wiring and troubleshooting of complex control systems and switchgear.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on best practices and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams on product improvements and lean initiatives.
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections and generate reports on product and process conformance.
  • Participate in the development of work instructions and SOPs.
