Job Title: Sr. Manager, Procurement
Position Overview

The Senior Procurement Manager leads by example, serving as a strategic negotiator and relationship builder with vendors and industry peers. This role is key in managing vendor accountability, fostering long-term partnerships, and guiding the team through modernization initiatives including AI and ERP transformations. You will develop and execute procurement strategies, drive continuous improvement, and influence financial and operational outcomes.

Location: Hybrid, Downtown Pittsburgh, PA
Responsibilities
  1. Champion enterprise-wide procurement strategies aligned with business transformation goals.
  2. Drive performance with clear KPIs, developing effective sourcing strategies.
  3. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support their goals.
  4. Lead negotiations to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and strengthen vendor relationships.
  5. Lead procurement transformation, including AI and ERP system adoption.
  6. Manage procurement operations across various departments.
  7. Collaborate on process optimization and supplier performance initiatives.
  8. Mentor and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  9. Modernize procurement policies to reflect industry best practices.
  10. Ensure supplier due diligence, risk management, and diversity initiatives.
  11. Develop strategies for supply continuity and market trend adaptation.
  12. Manage supplier relationship programs and analyze spend to identify strategic opportunities.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or higher preferred.
  • 10+ years in procurement with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Experience in energy/utilities industry is a plus.
Skills
  • Proven leadership in procurement transformation and technology implementation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred), e-sourcing, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High emotional intelligence and organizational skills.

Additional Information

This hybrid role requires onsite presence at least three days per week initially, reducing to two days after six months, with flexibility for additional days as needed. Storm roles and data governance responsibilities are integral to the position.
