We're looking for a seasoned, hands‑on Sr. Manager, Print & Retail Display Programs— someone with deep print production knowledge, strong vendor relationships, and the ability to independently estimate, source, and execute complex projects. This role is a full time temp-to-permanent position, located in Plano, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Own print and retail display programs from concept and estimating through engineering, prototyping, production, kitting, and final delivery to stores, field teams, and event sites.
- Manage structural display projects, including permanent and temporary POP, floor displays, endcaps, counter units, shippers, pallet displays, sidekicks, and in-store signage systems.
- Work with structural designers and display manufacturers on die lines, engineering drawings, white samples, and production prototypes. Make sure designs are buildable, cost‑effective, and ready for retail.
- Know corrugate, rigid substrates, wood, metal, acrylic, and mixed-material builds well. Specify board grades, flute profiles, load requirements, assembly methods, and finishing.
- Plan and oversee kitting programs: kit contents, packing lists, assembly instructions, store‑level versioning, and quality checks at the kitting facility.
- Manage shipping and distribution: pack‑out specs, carton and pallet configurations, labeling, freight quotes, carrier selection, ship‑to lists, delivery windows, and tracking through confirmed receipt.
- Coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics, and Fabrication teams on inventory, staging, storage, and outbound shipments. Resolve damage, shortage, and misdelivery issues quickly.
- Oversee commercial print, large‑format graphics, POS materials, packaging, and promotional collateral that support display programs.
- Partner with Account Management, Creative, and Activation teams to understand client and retailer goals, retailer compliance requirements, and in‑store execution needs.
- Source, evaluate, and manage display manufacturers, printers, kitting houses, and freight partners. Hold them to competitive pricing, quality standards, and on‑time delivery.
- Build detailed program estimates that cover engineering, prototyping, production, kitting, warehousing, and freight. Manage budgets and find ways to improve margin.
- Review artwork, proofs, die lines, prototypes, and production samples for accuracy, fit, and structural integrity before release to production.
- Run multiple multi‑SKU, multi‑location programs at once while holding timelines, budgets, and detail.
- Anticipate production and logistics risks, recommend practical solutions, and keep internal teams and clients informed.
- Mentor junior producers and set standards for display specs, kitting documentation, and shipping workflows.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in print production, retail display, or POP program management, with at least 3 years managing structural display and kitting programs.
- Hands‑on knowledge of display engineering, corrugate and permanent display manufacturing, and retail fixture standards.
- Proven experience managing kitting, fulfillment, and multi‑location shipping, including freight (LTL, parcel, and FTL) and retailer routing guidelines.
- Strong estimating, budgeting, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Familiar with retailer compliance and in‑store set requirements for major mass, grocery, drug, and specialty retailers.
- Highly organized, with a sense of urgency and a solutions‑first attitude in a fast‑paced agency environment.
