Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Site Leader to drive operations at the Sauget fulfillment center in Illinois. You will oversee budget, people development and operational objectives, coach a team of Operations and Area Managers, and ensure safety, quality and customer experience.

You will set performance expectations, lead Lean initiatives, collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT, and build leadership bench strength while delivering results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 7+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience, or experience in Logistics, Distribution or Fulfillment processes.
• Experience delivering results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high profile business.
• Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques.
• Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
• Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience managing third party resources on a regional/national scale
• Experience leading large contingent workforce programs
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall safety, quality and performance and customer experience of either Inbound or Outbound operations.
• Will set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers. Measures performance, provides feedback, and holds Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments.
• Leverages the Operations and Area Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas, and rolling them into the creation of improvement plans for the functional area.
• Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
• Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and other Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
