Job summary

US Foods, Inc. seeks a Senior Commodity Manager to oversee replenishment activities, lead large strategic purchases, and act as SME for market calls and pricing guidance. The role collaborates with sales on inventories, margins, and national positioning, managing a team and external vendors.

Remote work is available nationwide (excluding Hawaii and territories). A background in Grinds is preferred; travel may be required for trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years purchasing experience in proteins.
• 5+ years managing Buyers.
• Willing to travel overnight for trainings or meetings.
• Bachelor's degree or 10 years equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Working Manager responsible for large strategic buys.
• Own Commodity Intel research and market calls.
• Support sales as SME with select large accounts.
• Collaborate with sales on inventory positions and margins.

This role will function as a subject matter expert around all Replenishment activities within assigned team utilizing a continuous improvement mindset to maneuver between optimizing legacy process and building future solutions. Must be able to achieve performance objectives.Possess a high degree of diplomacy, tact, tenacity and persistence to deal effectively with other stakeholders.
