Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in Oregon seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager for the Sabre 3D Platform. You will lead a team of engineers across development, design changes tied to customer requests, field escalations, and engineering product support.

Qualifications

WETS Product Group -- Sabre 3D Mechanical Engineering

The impact you’ll make

Primary responsibility is Mechanical Engineering management of the Sabre 3D Platform. This is a product with a long history of success in the marketplace with a great team of dedicated people. The manager will be responsible for direct supervision of a team of Mechanical Engineers engaged in a wide variety of responsibilities ranging from product development, design changes tied to customer requests (NSRs), field escalations, and engineering product support teaming with various organizations including manufacturing, suppliers, process engineering, GPS, and the field.

The manager must be a strong leader capable of motivating and guiding their team, while collaborating closely with various groups inside and outside the Product Group. The Sabre 3D product is rapidly growing in the marketplace which results in the manager doing a significant amount of hiring and onboarding.

Who we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6-8 years of direct supervisory experience. Significant experience leading and directing teams, without a direct supervisory role, will also be considered.

Preferred qualifications

7 years experience managing a Mechanical Engineering team responsible for semiconductor equipment development and support. Engineering knowledge and experience with WETS products is a distinct plus.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
