Job summary

LaserAway is seeking a Senior Manager, Leave of Absence & Accommodations to own the full LOA function from design through day-to-day management. You will lead the program for FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA and multi-state leave, collaborating with Payroll, Benefits, Legal and HRBP teams.

You will oversee the full lifecycle, ensure compliance, partner with vendors, and build analytics to inform leadership on trends and costs, while maintaining a human focus for employees navigating leave processes.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive LOA and accommodations experience.
• Deep FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, and multi-state leave law expertise; CA leave law experience preferred.
• Comfortable owning complex, sensitive casework while building the function.
• Experience managing third-party leave carriers and vendor transitions.
• Proficient in HRIS systems (UKG Pro or ADP) and leave case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full leave lifecycle from intake through return-to-work.
• Own the ADA interactive process end-to-end.
• Supervise a Leave of Absence Specialist.
• Partner with Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and HR Business Partners.
• Build reporting and analytics for leadership visibility on trends and costs.
• Manage carrier/vendor relationships and system integrations, including leave workflows in UKG and ADP.

What You’ll Own

The full leave and accommodations function — from program design and compliance through day-to-day case management and team leadership. You’ll be the subject matter expert the organization relies on for FMLA, ADA, and multi-state leave law, and the person who makes a complex, high-stakes process feel clear and human for employees navigating it.

Day-to-day: managing the full leave lifecycle from intake through return-to-work; owning the ADA interactive process end-to-end; supervising a Leave of Absence Specialist; partnering with Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and HR Business Partners; and building the reporting and analytics that give leadership visibility into trends, costs, and compliance health. You’ll also serve as the lead on carrier and vendor relationships and system integrations, including leave workflows in UKG and ADP.

Who Thrives Here

• 6+ years of progressive LOA and accommodations experience, with at least 2 years leading people or programs
• Deep FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, and multi-state leave law expertise — California leave law experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable owning complex, sensitive casework directly while simultaneously building the function around you
• Experience managing third-party leave carriers and vendor transitions
• Proficient in HRIS and leave case management systems — UKG or ADP experience preferred
• Sound judgment, discretion, and genuine compassion for employees in difficult situations
• $130,000–$150,000 annual base salary
