Job summary

Hyundai Translead seeks a Director of Human Resources to provide strategic HR leadership for a manufacturing operation, ensuring the right people, systems and employee relations foundations to meet business goals. You will drive labor and employee relations, workforce planning, compliance, and performance management in partnership with plant leadership and corporate HR.

Responsibilities include aligning HR practices with business objectives, coaching leaders, and maintaining audit-ready HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations leadership in manufacturing.
• Strong ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive process improvement.
• Experience with labor/employee relations and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic and operational HR partner to manufacturing leadership, aligning HR practices to business objectives and site performance.
• Drive strong employee relations through consistent, fair, and compliant practices that build trust, engagement, and accountability.
• Lead labor/employee relations practices to support a positive workplace culture through proactive engagement, leader capability, and compliant response planning
• Partner with Talent Acquisition to support workforce planning, requisition strategy, selection processes, and hiring readiness.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; support investigations, documentation, and corrective action processes as needed.
• Support organizational design, job architecture, and compensation practices in partnership with corporate COEs; ensure consistent application at the site.
• Establish and maintain HR operating rhythms (metrics, reporting, leadership updates) to monitor workforce health, retention, attendance, turnover, and staffing effectiveness.
• Coach leaders on performance management, development planning, and day-to-day people leadership.
• Maintain accurate HR records and systems data, ensuring audit-ready documentation.
• Support change management for site start-up, ramp, or transformation initiatives; communicate clearly and execute consistently.
• Own implementation of HR policies and site-level strategy execution for short-term operational results (typically within a 12-month horizon).
• Lead site-wide employee relations strategy, including escalation management, high-sensitivity investigations, and risk mitigation.
• Influence cross-functional partners (Operations, Safety, Finance) to implement consistent workforce practices and resolve systemic issues.

Pay Range: $124,000- $ 155,000 Annually

Job Summary

The Director, Human Resources role provides HR leadership for a manufacturing operation, ensuring the organization has the people, systems, and employee relations foundation to meet business goals. The role is responsible for delivering HR solutions across employee relations, talent acquisition partnership, workforce planning, compliance, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and leader coaching. The role partners with plant leadership and corporate HR to implement HR programs, build a strong employee experience, and support operational execution through effective workforce strategies.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources , Business, or related field (required); advanced HR coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including significant employee relations leadership in manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership in labor/employee relations practices (trend analysis, leader training, communication preparedness, compliant coordination with HR/legal).
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders and drive process improvement across the site.

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

• SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
• Experience leading site-wide engagement/retention strategies for hourly populations.
• Experience managing complex labor/employee relations risks, readiness planning and leader capability programs.

Travel Requirements

• UP to 10%
