Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC seeks a Senior Manager to lead the sourcing team for the Amazon Leo program. You will own strategic supply chain architecture, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost, lead time, and quality across a global RF/antenna hardware base.

This role requires 10+ years in procurement leadership, experience in high-tech electronics, and strong collaboration with Engineering and Quality teams. Domestic and international travel is expected.

The Amazon Leo Supply Chain team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our sourcing team. This team is responsible for all commercial activities for all components and hardware destined for our ground system antennas globally. This role manages a diverse supply base spanning RF/Antenna systems, networking gear, and subsystems — delivering optimized cost, lead time, quality, and availability across a global network.

In This Role You Will

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Sourcing Managers
• Own strategic supply chain architecture planning — identifying and evaluating new sources, leading supplier management activities, and acting as primary escalation point for commercial issues across new-build deployment and spares/maintenance lifecycle programs
• Monitor material availability through Clear to Build (CTB) processes to ensure uninterrupted production and field operations
• Analyze spend requests, supplier quotes, and changes using data-driven cost estimation and evaluation practices; create and implement a Unit Cost Management program driving year-over-year savings
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and negotiation for critical long-lead and sole-source commodities (e.g., custom antenna assemblies, modems), providing guidance on contracting, negotiating, and cost evaluation
• Partner with Planning and Finance to ensure projected spend is within budget, approvals are worked in advance, and supply chain risk mitigation strategies address single-source dependencies and geopolitical exposure
• Develop, document, and implement best practices; report status to senior leadership clearly and succinctly; lead the team to execute annual improvement plans aligned to scaling objectives

Basic Qualifications

• 10+ years of managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain experience
• Experience in strategic sourcing for high tech electronics/computing/communications fields
• Experience in supply chain such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations
• Experience managing procurement teams with direct experience in supplier/supply chain management
• Experience working directly with Engineering and Quality teams
• Demonstrated experience in hiring and developing high-performing teams
• Extensive experience in Contracting, Supplier Management, Cost Management, and Negotiation
• Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and evaluate trade-offs
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to operate as an Individual Contributor as necessary to get the job done while continuing to lead the team
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
• Familiarly with SAP, E2Open, Coupa, and Quicksight
• Direct experience managing contracting and cost management activities in, preferably in aerospace or defense industries
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective supply chain architectures in regulated industries

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
