Amazon is seeking a Sr Ground Systems Engineer to contribute to the definition, development, integration, test, production, and deployment of Leo ground systems for high-throughput satellite connectivity.
The role requires extensive RF expertise, experience with ground tracking antennas, and a track record in systems engineering for satellite ground systems. A Master's or Bachelor's in EE or related field is preferred, with a strong focus on RF hardware and interfaces.
Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Have you ever wanted to develop ground systems and related products for a high-performance satellite constellation? We are looking for a Ground Systems Engineer to participate in the technical definition, development, integration, test, production, and deployment of Leo ground systems. These systems include state of the art full motion tracking antennas, modems, and innovative supporting systems.

In this role as Sr Ground Systems Engineer, you will be actively engaged in developing Amazon Leo’s Ground Gateway terminal products. These products enable mission critical, high throughput communications with Leo satellites. You will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to develop, test, qualify, produce, and globally deploy solutions and products enabling Leo’s global network.
The Ground Systems team is responsible for the architecture, design, build, and installation of Kuiper’s Ground and TT&C Gateways. Our Ground Gateways enable high data rate, low latency communications between Kuiper points of presence (PoP) and our Low Earth Orbit Satellite constellation. TT&C Gateways support satellite Launch and Early Orbit enabling command and control of the satellites during this critical phase. The team works closely with the Networks, Regulatory, Payload Test, and RF Hardware teams to ensure Leo provides a seamless customer experience.
