Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Global Corporate Communications leads enterprise thought leadership, corporate and executive communications, and internal and change communications for Landis+Gyr. Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing & Communications, this role activates the Intelligent Energy narrative across external and employee audiences, builds executive and subject-matter-expert visibility, and helps employees understand the company’s strategy and confidently tell its story.

Working closely across Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, Investor Relations, Legal, and regional teams, the Senior Manager will run an integrated editorial program, identify timely communications opportunities, prepare leaders for high-impact engagements, and ensure internal and external communications reinforce a consistent enterprise narrative.

Success requires a strategic storyteller and hands‑on operator who can translate complex energy, grid and business topics into clear, credible communications while coordinating cross‑functionally.

Key Responsibilities
The role’s initial focus will be enterprise narrative activation, thought leadership, corporate media and internal communications, with additional responsibilities expanding as the communications program matures.
Corporate Narrative and Communications Planning
  • Activate Landis+Gyr’s enterprise narrative across corporate, executive, thought leadership and employee communications.
  • Translate business priorities, market dynamics and customer outcomes into clear messages, proof points and audience‑specific communications.
  • Build and manage an integrated communications calendar tied to company priorities, industry milestones and major business moments.
  • Contribute to integrated communications programs that connect earned media, executive thought leadership, owned content, customer storytelling and priority industry moments to support business and reputation goals.
  • Measure communications effectiveness through coverage quality, message penetration, executive visibility, audience engagement and visibility across traditional and AI‑powered discovery.
Thought Leadership and Executive Communications
  • Own the enterprise thought‑leadership editorial calendar and deliver a consistent pipeline of differentiated perspectives tied to business priorities.
  • Partner with executives and subject‑matter experts to create bylines, speeches, social content, briefings and other high‑impact communications.
  • Build and prepare a pipeline of credible spokespeople and emerging thought leaders.
Corporate Media and Reputation
  • Lead corporate and executive media strategy focused on enterprise positioning, business transformation and priority industry issues.
  • Manage corporate media inquiries and rapid‑response communications with the Senior Director and functional leaders.
  • Strengthen relationships with priority media and establish reporting on coverage quality, reach and message penetration.
  • Develop proactive corporate media programs that connect enterprise narratives, executive perspectives, customer outcomes and priority industry moments.
Internal and Change Communications
  • Develop an enterprise internal communications calendar aligned with strategic, financial and organizational priorities.
  • Translate company strategy and business developments into clear, relevant employee communications.
  • Partner with Human Resources and leaders on change communications, town halls, manager enablement and employee engagement.
Additional Roles and Responsibilities
  • Partner across Marketing and Sales teams to extend priority narratives and customer proof across channels.
  • Align with Group Communications, Investor Relations, Finance and Legal on public‑company, disclosure‑sensitive and market‑facing communications.
  • Manage agency and freelance resources, measurement and communications workflows to improve quality, speed and accountability.
  • Use generative AI responsibly for research, planning, drafting and content adaptation with appropriate human oversight and confidentiality.
What Success Looks Like
  • Landis+Gyr’s enterprise narrative is clearly and consistently expressed across corporate media, executive communications, thought leadership and employee communications.
  • Landis+Gyr earns high‑quality corporate and thought‑leadership coverage with strong message penetration on priority industry topics.
  • Executives and subject‑matter experts are prepared, visible and credible in external and internal forums.
  • Employees understand priority business messages and can confidently explain Landis+Gyr’s direction and customer value.
  • Marketing and key partners operate through clear ownership, shared planning and aligned messaging.
  • Communications programs strengthen reputation, support business priorities and provide leaders with useful insight into audience and market response.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of progressive experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and demonstrated achievement in corporate communications, public relations, executive communications, internal communications, thought leadership or integrated communications.
  • Experience leading communications programs for multiple audiences within a complex, global, matrixed or evolving organization.
  • Strong writing, editing, storytelling and presentation‑development skills, with the ability to translate technical and business topics into clear, audience‑centered communications.
  • Ability to advise senior leaders, prepare spokespeople and adapt a core narrative for employees, media, customers, partners and industry stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering thought leadership, executive communications, internal or change communications, and proactive or responsive media programs.
  • Strong cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, including the ability to establish shared plans, practical review processes and effective working relationships.
  • Experience managing external partners, budgets and competing priorities while maintaining quality, speed and accountability.

Experience using measurement, stakeholder feedback, generative AI and communications technology responsibly to improve strategy and execution, with appropriate attention to human oversight, confidentiality and accuracy

  • As a part of the Landis+Gyr family, employees are offered a comprehensive and competitive package of benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k)-retirement plan featuring a generous company match incentive.
  • Additionally, we offer three (3) weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) as well as eleven (11) paid holidays.
  • We also offer a tuition reimbursement program, optional pet insurance, supplemental medical coverage and a host of other perks to ensure the health, wellness, and enrichment of our team members.

Pay is in the range of $127,100 - $168,875 per year.
