Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to design, implement, and continually enhance the global compensation architecture, establishing clear governance principles and consistent market benchmarking methodologies across regions.
- Lead global compensation surveys and data analytics efforts; develop multi-dimensional market comparisons (by industry, company size, and geography) and regularly evaluate competitive positioning across key talent markets, translating insights into actionable recommendations for structural adjustments.
- Ensure all compensation structures and practices remain compliant with local regulations across every jurisdiction where the company operates, while keeping a pulse on emerging international compensation compliance trends.
- II. Design of Regionalized Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Programs
- Tailor LTI grant levels, vesting schedules, and performance-vesting conditions to reflect the unique talent competition dynamics and retention priorities in North America and Asia-Pacific (as needed). Develop localized employee communication strategies to drive awareness and maximize the retention impact of LTI programs across regions.
- Stay ahead of LTI market trends and regulatory shifts in key global markets (with particular focus on US, HK, and China domestic listing requirements), and proactively recommend program enhancements and iterations.
- Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Tax, and external advisors to ensure seamless execution of regional LTI programs, covering everything from cost forecasting and compliance filings to employee enrollment and communication.
- Own the end-to-end North America (US and Canada) compensation review cycle, including merit increases, promotion adjustments, off-cycle changes, and annual incentive payouts, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with corporate financial planning.
- Stay current with pay transparency legislation, minimum wage updates, and other regulatory requirements across US states and Canadian provinces; conduct regular pay equity analyses and market gap assessments, presenting data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to North America HRBPs and business leaders on all compensation-related matters — leading new role pricing, advising on offer strategy, and resolving complex compensation issues.
- Oversee the integrity and accuracy of compensation data within the regional HRIS, ensuring seamless integration with performance management systems and compensation tools.
- IV. Retail Store Compensation & Incentive Program Design
- Design compensation structures tailored to retail store operations, covering Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and store-level staff to ensure competitive positioning and internal equity.
- Develop and continuously refine retail store incentive programs — including monthly/quarterly sales bonuses and store profit-sharing plans — that tie directly to store performance goals, sales targets, and operational KPIs.
- Adapt store incentive frameworks to reflect local market practices and regulatory nuances across North America and Asia-Pacific, working closely with regional operations leaders to drive effective implementation and iteration.
- Establish robust evaluation mechanisms to track incentive effectiveness, regularly analyzing the correlation between incentive spend and key business outputs (e.g., sales performance, store profitability), and use data to inform ongoing program improvements.
- V. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Build strong partnerships with HRBPs, Finance, Legal, Tax, Internal Audit, and external consulting firms to ensure smooth, coordinated execution of compensation initiatives.
- Design and deliver clear, compelling employee communications that help employees understand and appreciate the full value of the company's compensation and benefits programs.
