Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead GTN forecasting development, review, and governance at product, portfolio, and consolidated levels.
• Own GTN components including Medicaid, Medicare Part D, rebates, chargebacks, government discounts, patient assistance programs, distribution fees, and returns.
• Develop short- and long-range cash flow forecasts; translate GTN accruals into cash receipts and disbursements.
• Oversee IBP, annual operating plan, and forecast processes; drive cross-functional alignment and financial intelligence.
• Ensure GAAP/IFRS compliance and SOX controls; support audits and internal controls.
• Own and enhance forecasting models and tools (Model N, Excel-based models, Power BI); pursue automation and standardization.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting of business performance, as well as thorough and robust financial forecasts. This is a highly visible position and serves as a key resource to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis and other senior decision-makers in the business. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical ability, pragmatism, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a broad background in FP&A with hands‑on experience managing a corporate financial model, partnering with functional organizations, and creating insightful business analytics tools. The position will also lead the develop of reliable cash forecasts and business forecasts. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will develop an intimate knowledge and understanding of the generic pharmaceutical industry, customer contracts, the different classes of trade in order to assist the management team in managing customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities

• Gross-to-Net Forecasting
• Lead the development, review, and governance of GTN forecasts at product, portfolio, and consolidated levels.
• Own key GTN components including Medicaid, Medicare Part D, commercial rebates, chargebacks, government discounts, patient assistance programs, distribution fees, and returns.
• Assess drivers of GTN variability and performance versus forecast, budget, and prior periods.
• Ensure alignment between GTN forecast assumptions, market access strategies, and contractual terms.
• Cash Flow Forecasting
• Develop and manage short-term and long-range cash flow forecasts tied to sales, GTN, and payment timing.
• Partner with Treasury and Accounting to translate GTN accruals into accurate cash receipts and disbursements.
• Lead scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess cash flow impacts from pricing, utilization, mix, and policy changes.
• Business Partnership & Decision Support
• Oversee financial planning deliverables including AOP (Annual Operating Plan), forecasts, and cash forecasting:
  • Lead inter‑market and cross‑functional IBP decision alignment (i.e. drive unbiased financial intelligence in IBP decisions focused on achieving Global Commercial EBITDA targets).
  • Facilitate alignment in financial reporting and performance management between corporate finance, commercial finance, & other operational functions.
  • Implement reliable cash forecasting and advance financial planning and analysis capabilities
  • Build an integrated forecast model, establish appropriate planning cadence, and partner with key business leaders to improve forecast accuracy and organizational transparency. Create scenario models as part of forecast updates to give robust visibility on the business.
  • Support and build out operating metrics to track the company’s key strategic priorities. Identify, analyse and interpret meaningful financial trends and propose action plans for improvement. Track results against budget, prior period, and latest estimates. Compare results to trend rates, outcome goals and target metrics. Provide fact‑based insights into variances and trends.
• Governance, Controls & Compliance
• Ensure forecasts and accruals comply with GAAP/IFRS, SOX controls, and internal policies
• Partner with Government Pricing and Accounting to ensure consistency across GTN, AMP/ASP, and financial reporting
• Support internal and external audits related to GTN reserves and cash forecasting
• Ensure SOPs are documented, relevant, and up‑to‑date
• Systems And Process
• Own and enhance Net Sales, Std Margin and GTN forecasting models, systems, and tools (e.g. Model N, Excel‑based models, Power BI)
• Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of forecasting processes
• All other relevant duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Ability to understand the organizations vision and goals and to communicate and actions them in an effective manner.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams and work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
  • Strong experience in GTN forecasting and cash flow modeling.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems (SAP and Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of government pricing programs (Medicaid, Medicare Part D, 340B), preferred.
  • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical revenue and pricing dynamics.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to synthesize complex data.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong business partnership, communication and presentation skills.

• Experience
  • 8+ years of progressive FP&A and Finance; 5+ years managerial experience in leading finance team.
  • Experience with forecasting tools and automation initiatives.
