The Sr Manager, Field Access serves as the key access partner for HCPs and HCOs, and will work cross-functionally with patient services, market access, and sales partners to facilitate timely patient access to therapy. They educate providers on access processes, resolve reimbursement issues, and support patient assistance programs, all while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Please Note: Finalists will be expected to travel to our Raleigh, NC office for onsite interviews during the week of May 5th, with a targeted start date of 6/2.

What You'll Do:

  • Educate HCP accounts on patient access solutions, including distribution pathways, benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals processes, and patient support programs in both live and virtual formats.
  • Build collaborative, trusted relationships with HCPs, Patient Services, Field Sales, and Market Access teams to support seamless patient access to therapy.
  • Monitor payer trends and HCP prescribing behaviors to proactively address access barriers and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead routine business reviews and provide geography-specific insights to Field Sales to inform local strategy and improve patient start rates.
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and resolve barriers to patient access, enhancing HCP experience and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of regional and national market dynamics, payer coverage policies, and prescriber trends.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on access and affordability solutions across various payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
  • Contribute to access strategy and operational planning through data-driven insights and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in healthcare or business (PharmD, PA, ARNP, RN, or MBA) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in patient services, healthcare sales or operations, project management, or reimbursement support; pharmaceutical industry experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health insurance structures (Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial) and related access processes, including benefit verification, prior authorization, and appeals.
  • Deep understanding of HCP office workflows, prescription flow, and clinic operations; pulmonology experience preferred.
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders across teams and disciplines.
  • Skilled in analyzing complex data sets to identify trends, develop strategies, and drive access solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment with 40–50% travel; Must reside in the assigned territory/metro area.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of a pre-hire drug test.

Compensation:

We offer a competitive base salary range of $155,000- $175,000 USD (final salary based on location, experience, and qualifications).
