Bob’s Discount Furniture seeks a Senior DC Operations Manager to lead a team of operations and facilities managers, ensuring targets are met and workflows balanced across all warehouse departments.

The role partners with the Building Director to plan for annual cycles and business needs, driving KPI improvements through data-driven decisions while maintaining a culture of safety, high housekeeping standards, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – preferred.
• 6+ years of senior leadership experience in a warehouse environment.
• Experience maintaining budget and targeted expenses by reviewing monthly P&L, Capex expenditures and invoicing; driving continuous improvement to exceed budgeted P&L metrics.
• Experience managing teams and people; performance management, succession planning and development.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and working with third party labor partners.
• Proven data-driven decision making and problem solving.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under stress.

Job Overview

The Senior DC Operations Manager will lead a group of operations and facilities managers to ensure all operational targets are met while continually adjusting and adapting to the changing job priorities. Balancing workloads between all warehouse departments is necessary in maximizing workflow, to meet customer commitments and deadlines, establishing building goals are important. In partnership with the building Director and peers, preparation for the multiple business cycles throughout the year is a primary responsibility. This is a growth role allowing the Senior Operations Manager to lead the facility when the Director is not on-site.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
• 6+ years of senior leadership experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience maintaining budget and targeted expenses by reviewing monthly P & L, Capex Expenditures and approving invoicing; driving continuous improvement to exceed budgeted P&L metrics; raise your own bar
• Experience managing teams and people; to include performance management, fostering continuous learning, growth and development and creating succession plans to build depth on the bench
• Experience in managing staffing and hitting targeted goals, working with partners on effective recruitment strategies
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams
• Experience in working with third party labor partners and co-employment
• Proven ability to focus on quality and accuracy – minimizing product damage
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Must be a critical thinker who can analyze data and problem solve
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening
• Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt while making operational decisions
• Proficient in using a warehouse management system (WMS) – as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Furniture or other big-ticket experience
• Mathematical and analytical aptitude
