Sentara Healthcare is currently seeking a Sr. Manager – Cyber Security & Privacy Governance to join our team

This position is 100% Remote. Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 Years' relevant experience with degree
  • 7 Years' relevant experience without degree
Skillset:
  • Experience with industry regulations and frameworks (PCI, HIPAA, Data Privacy Laws, ISO27001/2, NIST, HITRUST, etc.)
  • Experience with GRC tools such as ServiceNow, Archer, etc.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments
  • Background in information security and governance with increasing responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of security controls, auditing, network, and system security
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in business terms
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects under deadlines
  • Ability to evaluate and improve security control frameworks
  • Experience interacting with management to discuss control effectiveness
  • Reviewing and updating cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards
Job Summary:

The Sr. Manager – Cyber Security & Privacy Governance will develop and implement strategies for technology policies, standards, and certifications. Responsible for designing, operationalizing, and managing cybersecurity governance to meet organizational requirements. Reports to the Chief Information Security Officer and collaborates across business lines to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of cybersecurity and privacy governance professionals
  • Establish and maintain a governance framework across all business units
  • Set oversight objectives for information and technology governance
  • Develop processes to evaluate business and consumer risks
  • Partner with industry peers for benchmarking and best practices
  • Monitor regulatory changes and report impacts
  • Communicate cybersecurity and privacy risks to leadership
  • Maintain metrics, reports, and tracking systems
  • Collaborate on data protection and governance initiatives
  • Work with risk leaders and end users to improve processes and implement solutions
  • Manage the Cyber Security Awareness program
  • Oversee daily operations and strategy development
