Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation seeks a SPWS Team Manager to lead a high-performing group serving Ultra High Net Worth clients. You will coach professionals, build a culture of engagement, and collaborate with partners across Schwab to deliver world-class service and tailored solutions.

You will shape a positive client experience, guide staffing and development, and champion a performance-driven, compliant service model that strengthens client loyalty and trust.

Qualifications

  • Active FINRA Series 7, 63, 9, 10 licenses
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience with staffing and workforce management
  • Additional management or leadership training
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, analytical skills, problem solving, attention to detail, and intuition for business
  • Passion for service, positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, strong client focus and desire to assist individuals in developing their career
  • Strong trading and margin knowledge in addition to a very good understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance responsibilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including confirmed listening skills and the ability to communicate in a clear, well organized manner
  • Ability to use resources to create client loyalty and lead our trading specialists to advocate for clients by identifying the best solutions for their needs
  • High degree of decision making and demonstrate how to work effectively on a fast paced and diverse team with ability to quickly organize and handle multiple priorities
  • Must be able to proactively suggest, create, and implement ideas and programs to improve the Financial Service Professionals and client experience
  • Lead complex negotiations with affluent clients while maintaining a superior level of customer service
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and build strong partnerships with varying levels across the firm
  • Positive demeanor, passion, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and coaching skills to get results and develop employees

Responsibilities

The Schwab Private Wealth Services (SPWS) Team Manager provides leadership within the premier service and trading arm for Schwab’s Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client. This Team Manager models behaviors that enhances each client relationship. This role delivers white-glove, dedicated service to our clients through seamless collaboration with a variety of business partners. The SPWS Team Manager role will focus on hiring and developing highly engaged financial professionals whose overarching goal is to inspire UHNW client loyalty through world-class service and solutions to meet their unique needs. The role will also be responsible for building a strong team culture and professional engagement through building and maximizing relationships.

As an SPWS Team Manager, you will provide leadership to a team of engaged financial professionals. The SPWS Team Manager will be proficient in creating a positive culture, coaching high-performing individuals to further development, and championing the achievement of business results.

The SPWS Team Manager will also be forward thinking and collaborative to help continue to improve the business model for our UHNW clients. These skills are also necessary to successfully handle complex, difficult, and/or unique client situations.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
