Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Employee Health Services (EHS) Director of Clinical Operations and the Lilly Employee Health Medical Director, the EHS East Coast Clinical Manager will split responsibilities approximately 70% administrative and 30% clinical. Key duties include supporting daily clinical staff planning, onboarding and oversight of clinical contractors, and providing clinical coverage during absences and staff PTO. The role is based in North Carolina and involves routine travel to various sites.
Administrative Responsibilities (~70%):
- Coordinate with the EHS Director of Clinical Operations to ensure staffing coverage at East Coast clinics, including Research Triangle Park, Branchburg, and Concord.
- Manage relationships with external staffing agencies for clinic staffing needs.
- Maintain the budget and business plans in collaboration with leadership.
- Oversee onboarding and training of clinical contingent workers.
- Ensure compliance with Lilly’s policies on contingent workers and internal protocols.
- Serve as Lilly’s sponsor for clinical contingent workers at East Coast clinics.
- Work with senior clinical managers and staffing suppliers to keep the external worker management system updated.
- Adhere to policies for onboarding and working with Lilly employees and contingent workers.
- Supervise health surveillance documentation for remote employees in partnership with occupational health services, delegating tasks as appropriate.
- Manage supply and equipment ordering for East Coast clinics.
- Support equipment calibration and routine maintenance, delegating as needed.
- Coordinate staff competency assessments and document incidents accurately.
- Assist in planning and launching new EHS sites on the East Coast.
- Coordinate health surveillance and wellbeing activities at satellite sites without local clinics, including travel to these sites.
- Support additional administrative projects as delegated.
- Ensure practices align with global protocols across clinics.
Clinical Responsibilities (~30%):
- Provide onsite clinical coverage during staffing gaps to maintain minimum staffing levels.
- Stay informed of Lilly policies and healthcare system changes.
- Ensure employee well-being through health surveillance, screenings, and episodic care.
- Assess medical conditions and injuries on-site, initiating nursing interventions.
- Follow up on injuries and illnesses.
- Support preventive screenings and health surveillance activities.
- Educate employees on health behaviors and self-care.
- Collaborate with internal and external physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Refer employees to physicians for illnesses and injuries, considering their location and culture.
- Utilize local resources for care and referrals, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Support first aid and safety programs.
- Coordinate with pharmacists for travel immunizations and flu clinics.
- Maintain medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.
Basic Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing school or related field.
- Current RN license in IN, NC, and NJ.
- Authorization to work full-time in the U.S. (no sponsorship provided).
Preferences:
- Nurse Compact Licensure preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Experience in corporate, ambulatory, occupational medicine, or ER nursing beneficial.
- Experience with EMR systems preferred.
- Leadership experience advantageous.
- Strong communication, organization, customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Availability for routine domestic travel (~40%).

Compensation for this role ranges from $88,500 to $129,800, depending on experience and location. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses, benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), pension, paid time off, wellness programs), and other perks. Lilly reserves the right to modify these programs at its discretion.
