About the Role

LendingClub Small Business Lending is a fast-growing direct lender to small businesses across the country. We’re looking for a talented Manager, Business Development to join our Sales team. The role involves driving growth in Franchise financing by identifying strategic opportunities and executing our sales strategy through managing a Business Development team. The Manager will oversee Sr Business Development Reps and a Business Development Associate, and develop relationships with top accounts to support the team.

What You'll Do
  1. Set sales strategies and campaigns to meet revenue goals, utilizing analytics and insights from our internal business insights team.
  2. Develop strategies to improve sales effectiveness and optimize the sales funnel.
  3. Coach and develop the sales team continuously, working with them to enhance their skills.
  4. Identify opportunities to optimize processes and systems, collaborating across the broader organization to leverage resources.
  5. Exhibit sales leadership within the organization and collaborate with marketing, partnerships, business insights, finance, and operations.
  6. Understand market and competitive trends to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  7. Drive sales productivity improvements by removing inefficiencies and managing underperformance.
About You
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience, particularly in relationship sales and presenting to executives or business owners.
  • 3+ years of sales management experience, preferably in inside sales leadership, with proven success exceeding goals.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience with PowerPoint.
  • Ability to build relationships in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Proficient in Excel, with the ability to interpret data and present progress.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience in Franchise or financial services sales is a plus.
  • This position is remote and may require travel up to 30%.
  • Ability to embrace a culture of “Test and Fail” and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Familiarity with various sales methodologies.

Compensation

The target base salary range is $000,000 - $000,000. The role is eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits. Salary and benefits are determined by role, experience, and location.
