Job Overview

Responsible for creating and developing innovative visual and fashion presentations to enhance the Bloomingdale's brand and support key business initiatives. Manages a specific Family of Business and oversees creative merchandising within it. Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
  1. Drive fashion and merchandise strategies.
  2. Design and develop visual equipment, trend shops, private label shops, and merchandising initiatives for a Family of Business.
  3. Manage the creative development of visual and merchandise presentations in partnership with the Design Director.
  4. Lead and develop visual merchandise direction.
  5. Develop visual collateral for merchandise concepts.
  6. Communicate monthly fashion styling directions to stores.
  7. Participate in seasonal campaign meetings.
  8. Update merchandising standards for areas of responsibility.
  9. Collaborate with outside resources for sourcing visual components.
  10. Manage budgets for merchandise initiatives and campaigns.
  11. Contribute to new store openings, renovations, and concept development with the Design Director.
  12. Create renderings for merchandise and creative directives.
  13. Process purchase orders for visual collateral.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Mac, PC, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Creative thinking with understanding of scale and visual composition.
  • Resourcefulness in developing and designing through market contacts.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements
  • Walking, standing, hearing, talking, reaching, crouching, and ladder climbing.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
  • Close and color vision, ability to focus.
  • Lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently.
