Job summary

Scientific Search in Newark, CA is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician to ensure critical biopharmaceutical manufacturing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably on a 100% onsite basis.

You will support bioreactors, autoclaves, HVAC, and purified water systems while performing preventive maintenance and cGMP documentation. The role requires an Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, strong mechanical/electrical/calibration skills, and the ability to read P&IDs,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and calibration expertise.
• Experience in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, PLC logic, and schematics.
• Knowledge of process equipment, utilities, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain process equipment and utilities.
• Support bioreactors, autoclaves, HVAC, and purified water systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance and cGMP documentation.
• Assist with equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Coordinate contractors and mentor technicians.
• Support equipment startups and after-hours maintenance.
