Job summary

Menasha Corporation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain machinery and support equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in plastics or fabrication, a vocational/technical degree, and the ability to read blueprints and install/modify parts as needed.

Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical degree required.
  • 2-5 years of relevant maintenance experience in plastics or fabrication.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on processing equipment and related systems.
  • Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts as needed, adjust components.
  • Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams and service manuals to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Repair broken parts using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment and hand tools.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and communicate actions and needs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in CI/5S/STW activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About The Opportunity

Maintain and repair machinery and equipment, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and installation of new equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Repair and maintain machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  2. Perform routine preventative maintenance on processing equipment, processing support equipment, utility support equipment, and facility related machinery and equipment.
  3. Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts, fabricate parts when needed, adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  4. Follow blueprints, specifications, diagrams and service manuals to repair and maintain equipment.
  5. Repair broken parts using brazing, soldering, and welding equipment and hand tools.
  6. Prepare maintenance reports, document and communicate actions, irregularities and continuing needs through the use of EAM.
  7. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective, safety equipment and devices that are required, in accordance with all STW documentation (if STW is not developed for any process within this job, proper training techniques must be followed).
  8. Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement; promote and sustain any and all CI, 5S and STW activities.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

  11. Ability to work on elevated platforms that are 60’ high.
  12. Ability to complete LOTO, rigging and forklift training.
  13. Ability to complete and pass RJG fundamentals of systematic molding and RJG Machine Maintenance courses.
  14. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs that may pertain to maintenance of the equipment or building.

  • Minimal Hours Nights 3/2/2; 5PM-5AM
