Job summary

DuPont seeks a Sr. Maintenance Planner – HVAC to support maintenance and reliability operations at the Experimental Station campus in Wilmington, DE. You will develop comprehensive maintenance work plans to enable safe, efficient execution of facility maintenance activities.

The role requires independent judgment to define work scope, plan requirements, identify risks, and secure resources for compliant execution. Strong SAP experience and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• HVAC journeyperson certification or equivalent work experience (5+ years).
• State HVACR license within one year, if required.
• 1+ year of experience using SAP or similar maintenance programs; 3+ years of SAP user experience preferred.
• Knowledge of steam, chilled water, HVAC systems and associated equipment (air handlers, motors, heat exchangers, belts, sheaves, valves).
• Translate repair procedures into SAP task lists or work orders and shop papers for scheduling.
• Interpret drawings, manuals, vendor literature; create sketches for mechanics.
• Proficient with Office 365.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
• Knowledge of Wilmington Area Standards is preferred.

It requires independent judgment to define work scope, determine planning requirements, identify risks, and establish the resources necessary for successful, compliant execution.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• HVAC journeyperson certification or equivalent work experience (5+ years).
• Ability to obtain State HVACR License within one year.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience using SAP or similar maintenance programs; expertise in SAP with 3+ years of user experience preferred.
• Demonstrable knowledge of steam, chilled water, HVAC systems, and associated equipment, including air handlers, motors, heat exchangers, belts, sheaves, and control valves.
• Knowledge of equipment hazards, failure modes, and the complexity of various maintenance restoration techniques; ability to build the necessary time, skills, tools, materials, activities, and sequence required to execute the scope of work.
• Ability to translate written repair procedures into SAP task lists or work orders and shop papers (job packages) to facilitate effective scheduling.
• Ability to interpret drawings, technical manuals, vendor literature, and create sketches for communication to mechanics as part of the work execution package.
• Demonstrable computer proficiency, including Office 365.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and make sound decisions.
• Knowledge of Wilmington Area Standards, as applied to work performed by the maintenance team, is preferred.

SAP Experience

• Create, review, and update work orders.
• Build and maintain job plans and task lists.
• Review and update equipment and asset records; check materials, parts, BOMs, and inventory availability; track preventive maintenance plans.
