Job description

Job Overview:

The Maintenance Mechanic III / Sr Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment such as motors, conveyor systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, production machines, boilers, pumps, liquid fillers, packaging equipment, material handling equipment, bulk delivery equipment, and blending/mixing systems. This position primarily focuses on the electrical side of maintenance.

Shift & Schedule:

This is a full-time position on our 2nd Shift; 2pm-10:30pm, Monday-Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Analyze mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electrical problems and make repairs through adjustments, defective parts replacement, or fabrication.
2. Wire moderately complex control circuits.
3. Fabricate, repair, and install hangers and all types of piping including hot/cold water, steam, process, and condensate, utilizing formulas for all phases.
4. Weld various types of metals.
5. Machine most metals, plastics, and composites.
6. Fabricate or replicate minor pieces for the repair or replacement of parts on equipment.
7. Complete size changeovers, make adjustments, and troubleshoot liquid fillers and packaging equipment.
8. Identify problems and complete repairs with minimal downtime or supervision.
9. Troubleshoot and program minor changes in Allen Bradley PLC (SLC500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix).
10. Troubleshoot 3ph 480v motors and VFDs including replacement and/or programming.

Total Rewards:

• Compensation: Pay starting at $40.43 per hour. The employee will move to a higher rate of $42.51 per hour in the quarter after their 6-month anniversary.

Requirements:

• 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting 3-phase (480V) circuits, motor starters, controls, and electronic circuit boards.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly, and walk and stand for long periods.
