Job summary

Bel Group in Brookings, SD, is seeking enthusiastic hourly manufacturing team members to support cheese production. You will set up molding machines, start conveyors, run the line, and collect quality samples while maintaining a clean work area and safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up the molding machine to form cheese and adjust for productivity and quality.
• Start conveyors and equipment for molding process.
• Run machine during production and make adjustments as needed.
• Pull cheese samples for quality testing.
• Record weight and daily production averages.
• Maintain a clean工作 area during production.
• Collaborate with vat operator to maintain smooth product flow.
• Follow all GMP, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Set up the molding machine to form cheese. Adjust machine during production to maximize productivity and product quality (Proper cheese weight, shape, and texture, etc...).
• Start conveyors and other equipment associated with the molding machine.
• Run machine during production, and make adjustments when needed.
• Pull cheese samples for quality testing.
• Record weight of cheese and average throughout the day.
• Maintain a clean working area during production.
• Work closely with vat operator to ensure a constant product flow to the molding machine.
• Good fine motor skills needed.
• Must be able to bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lb.
• Comply with all quality, safety, and work-rule requirements.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices as stated within the policy
• Follows all Safety rules & procedures by working safely and ensuring safety of others
• Follows all food safety procedures
• Follows all environmental protocols as applicable
• Follows all sanitation procedures and work instructions
• Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
