Job Description: Sr. Litigation Adjuster (Michigan PIP) – The Auto Club Group
What you will do: The Auto Club Group is seeking a Senior Claim Specialist who can work independently on highly complex claims involving legal and medical issues, including catastrophic injuries. Responsibilities include reviewing claims, conducting investigations, analyzing damages, negotiating payments, and collaborating with medical and legal professionals.
The role involves handling claims involving the MCCA, attorney-represented cases, and working with insureds, physicians, and insurance carriers to determine claim outcomes.
Work Environment: Remote work from home with occasional travel, subject to policy updates.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary range of $74,900 - $99,800 annually, with bonuses, plus benefits such as 401k, medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of ACG Claim Representative Training or equivalent, ability to obtain a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days, valid driver’s license, and five years of relevant experience in complex claims, negotiations, evidence evaluation, and coverage questions.
Knowledge and Skills: Technical knowledge of Michigan Insurance Acts, subrogation, litigation, negligence law, medical terminology, and ability to handle claims per standards, communicate effectively, analyze problems, prioritize, and manage workload.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Business or Insurance, CPCU designation, or related coursework.
